Retrospective Thoughts on Bloodborne

Tonight I finished something that I started when Bloodborne was first released: I earned the game's platinum trophy. This means that I successfully completed every achievement in the game, which was no easy task. I temporarily gave up repeatedly, once for several months, but later made it my steadfast mission to finish. I've finally done that. This isn't quite a review, but I feel like I have to unpack my experience now that it's over. Here are my thoughts, as scattered as they may be: I recommend the game for anyone looking for a thoughtful, action experience. It's sometimes slow and methodical, sometimes brutal and fast, but ultimately it's an experience that I recommend for anyone up to the challenge. If all you want here...

Multimedia 2015

For two years now, I've kept track of every game, movie, TV show, and book that I've completed. The idea is not just to remember what I've been consuming and when, but to encourage myself to finish what I start. Media Consumption 2014 - A complete list and analysis of everything I played, watched, or read in 2014

I spend the bulk of my time making things. I make glassware. I make games. I make all sorts of stuff and I talk about that all the time.  I don't spend nearly as much time talking about the things I consume.  In 2014 I kept a detailed list of every single movie, TV show, game, and book that I finished. The key word here is "finished," because the point was to keep a log that would help me track how often I was completing things that I started.
